After already struggling with health crises, environmental degradation, and annual hurricanes, a sever earthquake of 7.0 magnitude was the last thing Haiti needed.

1946: Magnitude 8.1 Earthquake.
1963: Hurricane Flora leaving more that 6,000 people dead in Haiti and Cuba.
1998: Hurricane Georges destroyed 80% of Haiti's crops and killed more than 400 residence.
2004 May: Severe floods in South resulting with more than 2,000 dead or disappeared .
2004 September: Flooding in the North killed nearly 3,000 people.
2008 August-September: Almost 800 people were killed and hundreds were injured due to a series of severe storms and hurricanes.
2010 January: Magnitude 7.0 earthquake killed tens of thousands of people. 4,500 prisoners escaped during the tragedy.
